Your Restaurant Review Posted: 11-18-2013 The Sidedoor (secret restaurant), Lake Bluff Bin Laden was easier to find than this place. Look for a wooden door next to the Inovasi restaurant in downtown Lake Bluff. There are no signs saying "The Sidedoor". There's an Itty Bitty sign next to the entrance door that says "This is the place". The "to go" menu does not have the address. The website does not have the address. A secret restaurant for spies? It's a small joint selling designer tacos, burritos and tostadas. The 10 different salsas that go on top are also very innovative. We tried 3 different types of tacos and 3 different types of salsas. The combo we liked the best was a "The Potato Forgot to Duck" taco (braised potatoes, duck leg, raw onion, rosemary, and hominy) topped with the "La Malinche" (Habanero, smokey cunin, japanese citrus) salsa. You can also put extras on top. Cilantro, Chihuahua cheese, Pico De Gallo etc. All good stuff. You might have to hire a guide to find the place but it sure is different and better than the "run of the mill" taco place. "Submitted By Resident"
