Your Restaurant Review Posted: 4-16-2010 Max and Benny's Deli - Northbrook, IL It may be a fairly long drive, (on Waukegan Rd just past Lake-Cook Road) but "Chicago Magazine" considers Max and Benny's "The best deli in the Chicago area". Gefilte Fish, Herring in wine sauce, Kishke, Kreplach, and a wonderful Sweet and Sour Cabbage Soup all helped to put Max and Bennys on the map. They serve lots of different sandwiches, but their "Rueben" is worth the trip. Corned beef, sauerkraut, swiss cheese and Thousand Island dressing, grilled to perfection. "Submitted By Resident"
