Your Restaurant Review Posted: 9-30-2009 Taqueria Toluca - Waukegan, IL Places like Taco Bell and Chipotle don't serve Mexican food. They serve Mexican style food. For the real deal go to the 1000 block of Washington street in Waukegan. There are several restaurants in a 2 block area serving authentic Mexican Food. Los Compadres, El Rey De Oro, Restaurante El Conchal, El Corporal, Carniceria Taqueria, and our favorite Taqueria Toluca. All these places have a couple things in common: 1) They are inexpensive 2) They are store front joints with zero ambiance. We like Taqueria Tolucas' large menu.
